Where Are We Located?
We meet in the Community Room in HEB Mueller, 1801 E 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723. The meetings are from 1:30 – 5pm. The Community Room is the same room that we met in pre-Covid. As a reminder, enter HEB and turn left just past the cashiers. At the far end, either take the stairs or the elevator (located just to the left of the stairs). Our room is to the left on the 2nd floor. We will walk through a part of the employee’s lunchroom/lounge on the way, so please be respectful.
Also, you can borrow a grocery cart to help carry a heavy load from your car into the store and on the elevator, but carts are not allowed to remain in the Community Room. Return your cart to the main floor once you’ve unloaded it. Remember that no outside food or drinks are allowed in the Community Room. If you want something, please purchase it in the grocery store or in one of the several restaurants in the food hall.

What Are the Times?
We meet every other month (see 2022 meeting dates below) from 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. with a short business meeting in the middle.
How Do Our Meetings Work?
Our guild has facilitated-weaving meetings. M
embers can choose to weave the facilitated group project or bring a project of their own. The skill level of our members ranges from beginner to experienced and includes working with various materials & techniques. You can contact, Diane Wilson, our newsletter editor by referring to our Membership list. She mails out the group project information ahead of time.

There is also an additional activity called Open Weave meetings which are non facilitated, bring your own project to weave and enjoy the company of other weavers.

Do I Have to Be a Member to Weave?
We love visitors! There are many members who can help you with your weaving project. If you decide to join our guild, membership is $30 annually, or $15 after July 1. We ask that after attending either one guild meeting or two open weaving days, visitors consider joining our basket guild.
